The Stukeleys Country Hotel is situated in the village of Great Stukeley which sits astride Ermine Street, the old Roman road built between London and Lincoln in the 1st century AD. Legend has it that Dick Turpin, the infamous 18th century highwayman, once plied his trade along this route.

The hotel has its origins in a 16th century farmhouse and an inn has reputedly stood on the site from earliest times.

The Suffolk pink, ivy-covered building is a welcoming beacon on the road north from Huntingdon and attracts an eclectic mix of residents from the village and from surrounding communities, passing travellers and people working at the nearby business parks of Huntingdon and St Neots.

The internal decor of the hotel is a blend of the old and the new with brass spotlights and chalkboards complementing the warmth and character of original brickwork, solid oak beams and large fireplaces. Regimental badges of the servicemen and women from the nearby base decorate and add charm to the bar.
